CORRECTIONS OFFICER - MECOSTA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
The Mecosta County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to fill a full-time Correctional Officer position.  The successful candidate should possess solid leadership/supervisory skills, be a creative problem solver with sound judgment/critical thinking abilities, and be able to work effectively under stressful situations.

Must also possess strong communication/interpersonal skills, and be able to manage inmates of various ethnic/socio-economic backgrounds while monitoring their behavior within a secure environment.

This job requires a minimum of:
-Completed and Passed the MSCTC Mental Fitness Test.
-Completed and Passed the MSCTC Physical Ability Test.
-High School diploma or equivalent.
-Posses a valid Michigan Drivers Licenses.
-No felony convictions.

OFFICE MANAGER - MECOSTA COUNTY FRIEND OF THE COURT
The Mecosta County Friend of the Court has an immediate opening for a full-time Office Manager position. The position provides secretarial and administrative support to the Friend of the Court and other staff in a fast paced, high pressure environment. The position includes typing correspondence and reports and maintaining office and client files. Prepares new case files which includes determining if parties have a prior case with the office. Opens all mail, date stamps correspondence and documents, and determines appropriate routing. Reviews court orders and is responsible for certificate of mailing on all orders. Serves as receptionist and answers the main telephone line, responds to inquiries regarding procedural information and case scheduling, determines if the caller's concern should be reduced to writing and/or directs call to appropriate individuals. Researches files to respond to questions from attorneys and clients. Works closely with court staff and attorneys in processing cases and scheduling hearings. Maintains the FOC court docket and prepares files for hearings. Must be a highly organized self-starter who has the patience and experience in dealing with the public and can work with minimal supervision.

Requirements: High school diploma with preferred legal assistance experience in an office setting.

Starting hourly rate is $16.02
